Crochet

I've been inspired by Debbi to complete some layouts about my childhood and growing up. One goal I have for this year is to complete a book about me. I've been thinking about ways to incorporate grandma's beautiful crochet work to a layout. Since I don't have any pics of she and I crocheting together, this pic of she and two of my daughters helps to tell the story. Grandma T, Anna, decorated so many hankies with her colorful flair. I use these handkerchiefs to this day. I took the layout shot on an afghan that she created. There will be many more tributes to Grandma Torchik. She was a true original. Her crochet work, recipes, and "Gramisms" live on.

Valentine book designed by Lori, completed by me

It has been just over two years since I met one of my greatest sources of artistic inspiraion, Lori Slawinski. Two years ago today I had completed this cool book and presented it to Mark. I'd made other mini books, but none this elaborate. So grateful to have Lori in my life. She ignites my creativity on a regular basis. And, of course, big thanks to my valentine for three decades, Mark.

Valentines

Now that it is V-Day I can post the cards. I created several of these that were each a bit different. Even incorporated a scan of a Kermit Valentine we used to hang on the front door for years. The interior features a cute owl that was on some paper plates. First use of my new typewriter.
