October Project 12
Ten months done of Project 12.
It was fun to play with the halloween theme this month. The typewriter and stitching and same sketch do not get old. Love the bright leaves this month much like the bright orange leaf here.

With a date so cool, how could I not document it?
What fun day it was. We had a house guest, I taught an early class for nurses, we hiked, Mark prepared a feast, and we had a fun fall day.
I am having fun finding lots of way to use the ten packs of thicker letter & number stickers that I won a few months ago!
Muse
That orange band is my wristband.
I was so excited to experience a Muse concert. My friend, Joe, posted on Facebook that he had an extra ticket on the day of the show. I had been working all day at the university with no Internet access. I posted that I'd love to use the ticket and immediately followed up with a text to Joe. We confirmed the arrangements by 7pm and I was on my way by 8pm. So exciting! The stage show rivals U2 and the band sounds much like a cross between Queen and Radiohead. A sublime evening. The concert was Tuesday, and by Thursday I was sharing the layout with my friend, Stacey. I was motivated!

August Project 12
This hot summer month was punctuated by Mark in the sling, then out. Also featured thsi month: our NC road trip, Alissa and Nath's ceremony, Allison's shower and Cristi's visit. How about these cool patterns? I've loved these bright papers for years. I've completed mini books and layouts with these happy papers before and really enjoy it each time I work with them.

Scents of Summer
I was thinking how this layout uses so MUCH STUFF. I was inspired to check the "How much is too much?" (http://hmitm.blogspot.com/) blog to complete the layout using all of their weekly challenges. Every so often I get carried away! I really do love the smells of the season. I used: a breezy pinwheel, ribbon made from patterned paper, metal brads, a pen drawn heart, a laundry line, a banner, sewn on fabric, many matted photos, a stamped flower, some real fruit stickers, and lots of letter stickers.

June Project 12
Completed June Project 12 using a brand new--first available today--preview of Jill's new line. http://www.jillibean-soup.com
Incorporated Lori's challenge of using a button. I'm not a huge fan of buttons so used a yellow one to make this butterfly pop on the bottom. Isn't June a time of sunshine yellows and greens? These pinwheels look festive as well. We've seen some beautiful butterflies like the ones here, too. I love summertime!
Here are some of those new cameras:

My Sling Man
Using this Page map to create a layout of our 4th of July. This layout explains part of the reason that this summer has been so unusual.
Which version do you prefer?
I found this flocked star, printed red binder clip, and the fabric pennants at Scrapbook Art's recent garage sale.
Hmm. Do you think I should move the title to the left where the sketch suggests? I tried it both ways. What do you think?

Chicago mini album
I've been hard at work on our Chicago travel album. I've decided to create an 8x8 book. I found the perfect album, paper and transparencies from Scrapbook Art's garage sale last Saturday. I've made time to work on the project in the evenings and while Mark was in surgery yesterday. Today while I help him as his shoulder heals, I'm completing more pages. Thanks to Stacey for lending me her fastener with micro staples. Perfect tool for working with plastic pages. This cover page features the plastic stir stick shaped like the Hancock building and a tag from the magnificent mile.
