Cards made with Jill

I completed my first class at Scrapbook Art. Jill, the owner of Jillibean Soup was there to teach the class.

Jill designed each of these papers and embellishments. How fun to work with someone whose products are widely used around the globe. I have had the honor of working with her before as she is in my group of women, Tarragon, who meet quarterly to create.
We completed six cards in 90 minutes. This is my new record. :)

I'll be recreating this bird card in many different ways.

I'm a new fan of the twine.

Valentines

Now that it is V-Day I can post the cards. I created several of these that were each a bit different. Even incorporated a scan of a Kermit Valentine we used to hang on the front door for years. The interior features a cute owl that was on some paper plates. First use of my new typewriter.

Thank you card challenge

I found this card challenge by Kristina Werner on twopeasinabucket.com

The lesson was about adding texture to a black card. Here is the card I made:

Used some Amy Butler scraps, black paint and a butterfly punch to make the card.

New card and concert & party layouts

I created this card for Cindy, a fellow Ohio Weseleyan professor. The card is to celebrate her art opening at the Dublin Arts Castle. Thanks to Karen Nuce for allowing me to use her toy to emboss this cool flower shape.

Ghostland layout. It contains some cool metal buttons. Thanks to Lori for lending the cool border punch.

Some layouts to document our cool Independence Day party. We love to host parties when Ellen is in town.

Card inspiration

My good friend, Stacey, made me a beautiful card that inspired me. Here is the product of that inspiration: unbirthday cards. Since my OWU students had to skip a week of yoga classes when I was in DC for my birthday, I created them each an unbirthday greeting.

Here is Stacey's inspiring card:

So many cards!

Okay, so maybe some of these are similar in theme and content, but aren't they pretty? I love receiving homemade cards. I hope each of these recipients loves his/her card.

Butterfly cards

I've been making these cards to give as Easter, spring, and birthday cards. I love how butterflies represent transformation.
